How IDAs Work
What can I save for? You may save for the purchase of major assets such as home purchase, home repair, vehicle, education, business, rental, retirement and adaptive technology. Different organizations offer different IDA asset goals.
Merging for Greater Impact: the WNHS/NEDCO Story
On 1/1/19, WNHS and NEDCO officially merged, creating the entity that is now DevNW. The merger
follows two years of due diligence, planning, and incredible support from our partners, funders, boards,
and staff. Why would we go through all that work? In short: to do more of what we do, and do it better.

DevNW. When we started the merger process, we knew we couldn’t merge our names. (Though we had
fun playing around with it: Willamette Neighborhood Economic Development and Housing Services
Corporation…has a certain ring to it, doesn't it?!)
Heating Up the Dream: Leela’s Kitchen
“I had an interest for a few years and when I was ready to try something out, I happened to look on Craigslist and found Sprout! Kitchen. I always had a desire to provide a healthy option for people eating out — and a different flavor that’s not American. I have my own restaurant and my goal is to serve the community. I want to give a lot, so I hope it gets there.” – Leela Nelapudi, owner of Leela’s Kitchen, Authentic Indian Cuisine, Hatch Business Incubator client
